Veronica was born on March 31, 1934 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Thomas and Helen (Moga) Gibbons. She grew up in St. Paul the daughter of Tommy Gibbons the Ramsey County Sheriff and Heavy Weight Boxing Championship contender. She married Clarence F. “Bear” James on February 7, 1959 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in St. Paul. The couple lived in North St. Paul until moving to Sauk Centre in 1980. She has made her home in Waite Park since 2004. link
